Poor plants took a bit of a beating didn't they :S Aargh fruit flies! Though amusingly my first memory of them is breeding them in a lab when I was doing biology and we were learning about genetics. And then we had to emergency shut down and seal the lab because someone's drosophilia escaped and we couldn't let them leave the room for obvious reasons XD
