I sincerely hope Lula's exoneration is swift and total, as the execrable actions of the Car Wash criminals - the prosecution, not the accused - need to serve as a reality check to all eager beavers in government service who will be tempted to commit such abominable ethics to aggrandize themselves. Ends do not justify means.
Lula's story, when it's fully written after his exoneration, shows the inverse is true: the means justify the ends. Either the good guys do good and prevail, or we are all subject to corrupt gangsters seizing power with the most powerful being the most willing to do the most horrible things to get that power.
