Leaked audio: Oil and gas lobby relishes role in criminalizing pipe protests
A leaked audio recording has revealed that an American oil-and-gas lobby group - helped secure legislation, that criminalized protests against pipelines. That was in response to demonstrations against the construction of a pipeline in North Dakota.

Other news of interest is that the Koch Bros. are divesting in Alberta Tar Sands. Which might suggest they know the pipe lines won't go thru

actually the kock brothers are hoping we invade Venezuela and install our own government. This is the only "Tar Sands" Crude available in the consistancy they need for their Texas Refineries. This is the only reason drumpf is yapping "war talk" to assist guiado to replace Maduro as president.
Most of the Koch bros. Tar sand bitumen is or has been piped down to Minnesota & processed in their refineries. I also just read that Trans Mountain Pipe lines are mobilizing their work force expanding an existing pipeline out to the west coast. Maybe the Koch's think they will let the Chinese process the dirty bitumen.
funniest thing, the Kock, um, koch bros. used to get their crude from Venezuela. The Canadian "Tar Sands" are about the same consistancy as that from Ven. When Canada, I think it was last year, said they are going to raise their prices the aim shifted back to Ven. in 2013 Pres. Obamadeclared Ven. a supporter of Al Qaida (?) and they were an enemy of ours. Now, prez drumpf is trying to get control of the oil there and install American corporations in charge of all Crude production.
Another funny thing, drump's administration is supplying Al Qaida with weapons and ammunition in Syria. How's that for the Cat chasing the Dog?? Mitch, out
FYI - I just finished a book titled "the Silk Roads" a new world history. It's focus is on trade & commerce thru out the ages. goes into great detail about the start of the oil industry in the 19th century by the Brits in Persia/Iran where they first struck big oil. It's an enlightening read sorting out all the deceptions & reasons we're in the state were in right now. It's a hard read and the second half is the best.
