Yes. I believe they are working on that now.
Isn't that something that Steemit itself has to integrate?
Whatever the technical side of things, I think this is a crucial feature to have and something that would make the Steem blockchain much more competitive, flexible and enjoyable.

Good but that doesn't work on steemit. I care about embeds on steemit, not a webpage.
I have a warm fuzzy feeling that steemit will be adding that feature before to long, they are a match made in heaven :)
