Trip to Severn Beach and Clevedon #1 + video
Every Saturday we are having a day out! So, this time, after a quick search on google maps, I have picked a place called Severn Beach. It has taken us an hour and a half one way to travel by car.
Just before turning into the village, we popped into the services. I am so glad we did because there are no facilities around once at the destination! So, keep that in mind!
A pleasant walk there and back along the river Severn! We have reached the Second Severn Crossing Bridge. I took some pictures below the bridge and around! And we were really lucky with the weather. It was warmish and not that windy!
The bridge itself has a toll! It actually connects England and Wales!!! However, according to the Guardian, the toll charges could be scrapped by the end of 2018! I might return for the crossing!
While walking we saw three or four drones. Some have been flying very far to the water. Surely they have got some good footage! We were later having a conversation about the popularity of the drones and how quickly they have become affordable for the ordinary folk!
There is a nice little bakery just off the footpath which we used for a quick bite. Nothing special! We took pasties and paid £ 6 for three. And then we went next door to grab some soft drinks!
There are plenty of benches along the footpath and one could even choose to walk below the sea wall! At every point an interesting view to enjoy!
We have later returned to the services before deciding to drive further to Clevedon to catch the sunset! But that's to be continued in the next video!

I think I've driven over this bridge before on the way to Wales. I didn't realise how nice it is around here - maybe I was just too tired for having been driving for hours :)

When I was a teenager I used to drive out to Services at the old bridge with my friends. We liked it because it was open all night. which was unheard of then. Food and drink were rubbish though!

Nowadays food and drink are super overpriced at the services! 😁 An ordinary tomato and cheese toastie - £4.70 😱
