Now, about being a 'real' cowboy . . .

I was raised on a ranch in the mountains of Colorado. Was riding a horse (with help) before I could walk. I even thought about making a living trying to stay ON one for 8 seconds until I realized I sucked at it! LOL

We had a herd of beef/dairy cattle and horses. I have stepped in, and been covered with, more bullshit than a politician can spread! But, am I a 'real' cowboy?

I suppose that depends on the individual's definition. Owning a hat/boots is, for some, all it takes. (we tend to call them Rexall Rangers - all hat, no horse)

I make no claims to be anything but 'who' I am. Yes, I can work cattle from a saddle, and keep one in my office. But I also 'work' from a computer. A cowboy? Perhaps. You can decide. :)

Oh, yeah, do I own a horse? Not at this time. But the place we are looking at buying has a stable and arena, so I feel fairly safe in saying I will, again, soon.
