Wood Chips = LIFE...in the soil! "Mycelium running!"

Good morning again @dtube and Steem blockchain!!! In the video I shared yesterday...I was at our local wood chipping yard...collecting wood chips. Please catch that on our blog if you haven't yet.

Today, I'm out applying the wood chips. As far as application, there is one KEY....and that is to just layer it like lasagna on top of the existing soil. This way....no excess nitrogen builds up in the soil. The wood chips...just decompose as they would ...in a natural forest setting. SLOW RELEASE! The best part about using wood chips as a top mulch layers...is that they invite fungal activity. MYCELIUM RUNNING!!!! I borrowed those words from author Paul Stamets. His book on the mycelium/fungus of the soil...absolutely changed my life! These urban food forests....IMO...provide so much HOPE....and self empowerment....to humans living in these urban sprawls...worldwide!
