The Canadian governments regulations on ride sharing particularly with its “class 4 licence” has held the company back from entering the west coast market until now...Uber says it plans to apply to the B.C. Passenger Transportation Board as soon as possible, and expects the PTB will take an estimated six to eight weeks to evaluate its application.

Australia is using uber as an extension of the surveillance network and drivers are trained to gather information and pass it on to federal police. The scary part is many of the drivers are new Australians who've come from countries Australia has been recently engaged in military conflicts with. It's a like a privatized Stasi employing cheap labor imported from overseas.
You should be supporting cooperative sharing which I think is already available in Canada. Wish we had it here...
