Yeah, I wouldn't want to be there now either. Good to hear from you. I got on the last plane from Vietnam to Thailand, and have been living very very well on the beach in Ao Nang Since March. Hope things get better there soon.
Lucky you for getting the last plane to Thailand. Sigh... I miss the beach so bad! Ao Nang? I haven't been there yet. Is it nice? What's your home town? (just curious) How long you been on the road? Safe travels mate! :)
I've been traveling, or maybe I should say "living internationally" since age 20, now I'm I'm 37. Ao nang is a cool little beach town outside of Krabi. Really nice beaches here, icluding one that made some magazines top ten list in the world.
