D-Tube Wednesday: natural beauty of Gozo, hidden gem of Mediterranean

Welcome to my D-Tube Wednesday series where I share my videos taken at interesting places that I have visited during my travels.
Today, I will take you to a picturesque tiny island that belongs to the Maltese Archipelago, the enchanting island of Gozo.
Situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, just some 300 km (185 mi) north of the coast of North Africa, Malta is a subtropical country with very hot and dry summers but if you come here in winter or in early spring, you might easily mistaken its landscape for Scotland or Ireland as local hills and valleys are literally shining with all shades of green.
If you look for some stunning Maltese landscapes, you should definitely visit Gozo, a wonderful little island that is often referred to as "the greener Malta".
It was here on Gozo on the top of the famous Tal Merzug Hill that towers over the tiny coastal town of Marsalforn where I shot this video of local beautiful landscape. As far as I remember, it was late January or early February of 2014.

I will admit right up front that I have never heard of this island and after witnessing the dtube video and seeing your pictures, I am wondering why! What a little gem that you have discovered.
Such a small island and yet, it shows all signs of being a well-structured haven. The lushness of it and the terraced land is gorgeous.

Very good observation! Gozo is a very small, somewhat isolated island and yet, it has a lot to offer. I think there is some fascinating about islands, especially the small ones :)) Thanks again for stopping by Denise.
