Thanks for the comment! The larger the population of a country usually the more basic the education becomes. Countries with smaller population can thrive easier because of less competition.
The funny thing. Classical education, based on the Trivium, was primarily about how to engage in reason. The three legs of the Trivium are: Grammar, Logic and Rhetoric.
Grammar is the study of the structure of language
Logic is the structure of ideas
Rhetoric is the art of discourse.
The Quadrivium added arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy.
These subjects are more related to real intelligence.
Modern education, which is all about answering questions in a standardized test, is regressive. Classical education did a better job training people's minds.
With real intelligence I talk about the intelligence that transforms food into a body. The chitta intelligence that is not having any memory that can't really be measured. That intelligence that comes from just paying attention is a million times more powerful than grammar, logic and rhetoric. The mind is mostly garbage since it's mainly a persons drama and story.
That will say extremely limited compared to true intelligence that just works. This intelligence is everywhere. So called smart people mostly get trapepd in their Intellect. That will say they mostly think you can put intelligence down into words. Real intelligence only comes from a person enhancing their perception so they see life just the way it is.
I would probably say this with respect that you are dead wrong. I think you need to go to medical school and learn that you must experience practical exams that are "hands on." Experience is more than knowledge. You can have the knowledge of climbing a mountain on youtube, but then can't do it on your own. Knowledge and experience is two different things. Application in martial arts is much better than reading a book on it. Experience is partial to knowledge.
Having kids made me realize what a sham education in the united states. Test, memorize, forget. over and over.
