Yeah I too question the idea of outer space ever since I decided to take a look at the flat earth videos.
I'm udecided on the matter because it's so crazy and yet that curvature formula of the earth is obviously wrong.
On the other hand I used to be almost convinced in the ancient alien theory. I though we had visitors from other planets in the past and hence gigantic structures were built back when they couldn't possibly have the technology.
Both ideas seem counterintuitive.
But I think you're right in the sense that the idea of space is in some part running away from your problems, unhappiness.
And it's also like flat earthers say a way for scientists&rulers to say look we have to search through trillions of light years of space to find out if there is a God and until then listen to us.
Then again like you said we might me missing out on a huge party on some planet somewhere :):):)
Outer space is full of radiation. In order to travel through it, we have to solve the issue of exposure first. We are very protected in our planet by Earth's magnetic field.
