You have a good point there. Human relationships are the real value and the key to success. I also agree that a scarcity mentality is the wrong way to look at the economy and/or the world nowadays, unless you're looking at human connection and attention. That is one thing which is scarce/difficult/valuable to get.
It's also pretty fleeting and transient. It's not like you can store up a bunch of attention and spend it later. Interesting dynamic. A relationship makes it more likely that you will get more attention in the future, but only if you're actually doing something. I guess that's where the "make new stuff" angle becomes so important. A relationship being something that goes both ways, it's important to engage, whether creating things or talking about things that have been created.
I haven't figured this out yet. I started Steemit/Dtube to relay information on smoking cessation and I intend to produce videos and content on the topic, but I haven't figured out how the platform works yet. What do you feel a next step for me is?
Hey Chuck, did you happen to see the welcome info at https://steemit.com/welcome ? I thought that was a great place to start. It's a lot to figure out all at once. If you're mainly interested in producing video, there's plenty more to dive into once you have the basics of Steemit kinda solved.

I like this post.
I think the fancy term for this is 'reciprocal altruism'!
Let me know what you think!
Luppers :)
