I have no idea why anyone would want a Monkey as a pet. Unless you lock them in a Cage they can be unmanageable. They get bored easily, have the ability to get into everything and will wreck your House when you're not home. Best place for a Monkey is their native habitat.

However, having a pet Monkey is the perfect excuse for ignoring everyone else.. You're right; the Monkey is not the issue here.
