Murray Newton Rothbard (1926 – 1995) was an American economist, philosopher, political theorist, and historian. He was also a economist of the Austrian School, a historian, and a political theorist whose writings and personal influence played a seminal role in the development of modern libertarianism. Rothbard was the founder and leading theoretician of anarcho-capitalism. In this clip from the 1989 Texas State Libertarian Conference, he talks about the history of socialism in the 19th and 20th century and how there is no democratic socialism.
