Heeeello friends!
It's feels like a hot minute since I've sat down and just had a chat with you guys. I've been offline for the last few days and it's been really great for me just to disconnect for a while.
The things I have learnt since being away - balance is key and will help ignite or continue the flame of your burning inspiration. Regardless of how much I love this platform there are also other valuable things that require my attention. Secondly, I actually have much more passion and drive for this platform then I believed possible. Stepping away and sharing my relationship with others who don't know what this place is all about really brought attention to that. Thirdly, I chat about my observations on what has been happening over the last few days on the platform since I've been gone. It seems everyone has kicked everything up a notch and that there has been some slight concerns about market dramas and big name youtubers moving over. At the end of the day I still feel that the most valuable thing you can provide is the content that deeply resonates with you. Don't feel pressured to adjust to the masses because at the end of the day what we create should be a reflection of what we love.
Don't ever lose your spark. ✨

Welcome back! It’s good to see our community continue to grow, and I totally agree with the idea of sticking to your original values on here. As bigger names come across, they’ll be only focusing on the money. This platform is built and run on genuine interaction and supportive people, and it only works when everyone works together for that. I think the bigger names will fizzle out if they don’t help to support the community and grow the platform and it’s values. Stay true to yourself and enjoy it!

Honestly I could not have said that better @tim.clarke! Youtube focuses on the individual where as Dtube and Steemit support the community overall and a lot of us want to maintain that which will still allow us to all do what we love and not feel that we need to adjust to be recognised.

I had a very similar experience last weekend. My good friend Whit (who actually has lived in Aussie a few times) came to visit and it was so nice to have a reason to step away from the computer.
I also love when the online connections become real life ones. That seems to be where the magic is!

I'm glad to be back @axios! Although I just took another short hiatus haha. I'm finding as time goes on I can't give as much of my time to this platform which is unfortunate because I have so much love for it! I guess it's all about finding balance and also not being so hard on myself if I take some time to step away because it is super important. One day I will be living the full time Steemit life.

I also really appreciate what you said about creating content that matters to your personally and that not necessarily pleases others. Totally on board with that. I think it is the biggest difference of steemit and youtube. We have to try hard to manage not to loose the innocence steemit has. :)
Haha thank you! @lostinhappiness. It's my happy shirt, you can't feel flat when you're in such bright colours. And I totally agree, that is why Steemit is amazing. It rewards people for staying true to their individuality and to encourage us to explore what we love and not what we think we need to do to be recognised. I'm grateful every day for what this place has done for me and I'm so happy to see our community grow!

I think that fear itself is just an obstacle. People say that it's a survival instinct but I think that's bull... How can you survive when you scared and can't even think properly.
