The Natural One Minute Everyday Makeup Look – Easy, Quick and Convenient
The one-minute makeup look will help you simplify your makeup routine and still look fresh and awake! You just need a few products for this look, and with multi-purpose makeup products, you can get done even faster.
Tools you will need for the one-minute makeup look:
- Tinted moisturiser
- Concealer
- Cream blush or bronzer
- Face powder
- Powder Brush
- Cream shimmer shadow (optional)
- Mascara
Step 1: Apply Your Favourite Tinted Moisturiser
A tinted moisturiser provides two-in-one benefits! It moisturises your skin and adds a bit of colour to your face too. You can apply the tinted moisturiser with your fingers for a faster and more natural application.
Tip: You can create your own tinted moisturiser by mixing your face moisturiser with a bit of liquid foundation that matches your skin tone. A video to show you how to do it is linked on the top-right corner.
Step 2: Apply a Small Amount of Concealer
If needed, add a bit of concealer over blemishes and under your eyes. Blend it into your skin using your finger. This will help even out your skin tone and brighten the under-eye area to make you look awake. Most of us only need a small amount of concealer for this step.
Tip: Sometimes two concealer shades are needed.
- One to brighten the under-eye area
- One that matches your skin tone to cover up blemishes
Step 3: Apply a Cream Blush or Bronzer
To warm up the skin tone of your face, you can go with a cream blush, bronzer, or even both! This depends on your preference and the amount of time you have to get ready.
The cream blush is one of my favourite products as it can be applied on your cheeks as well as lips! Again, you get two-in-one benefits along with saved time and product.
Apply the cream blush to your cheeks using a brush or your fingers. For your lips, just use your fingers.
Tip: You can also apply a cream lipstick to your cheeks and lips; it works great!
Step 4: Apply a Skin-Colour Face Powder
Take a big powder brush and apply a light but even coating of face powder over the areas that you want to mattify. Use a smaller face or eyeshadow brush if you want to set the concealer under your eyes.
Tip: Not everyone needs to use face powder—it depends on your skin type. Use it to control the shine of your skin or to secure your makeup.
Step 5: Shimmer Shadow (optional)
Apply the shimmer eyeshadow with your finger. You can use either powder or cream—whichever is easier for you!
The Revlon Colorstay crème eyeshadow is a great shimmer eyeshadow. It dries after the application and stays in place all day long. It’s also super easy to apply and blend with your fingers and a fantastic option for the one-minute makeup routine in the morning!
Step 6: Mascara
Add a few coats of black mascara to open up your eyes!
If your skin is of the oily type, don’t forget to take blotting paper with you to help control the shine.
