Root Beer Battle and Taste Test | Jackson Hole Soda Buckin Root Beer vs Olde Brooklyn Root Beer

Happy New Year!! Today I decided to kick of a new segment of In the Kitchen with Matt, called "The Quest for the Perfect Root Beer". In these episodes I will be doing root beer battles and taste tests. I got the idea from @meesterboom. If you are not following him you have got to! His work is amazing. My taste test videos pale in comparison to his. I at first thought I would do a parody of his videos, but decided against it. Join with me on this journey as we search for the "Perfect" Root Beer.
Battle One
First up we have Jackson Hole Soda brand Buckin Root Beer vs Olde Brooklyn brand Root Beer.
The Jackson Hole Soda brand claims to have the best darn soda in the country. Well let's just see how this Root Beer measures up.
First impressions are I am diggin the label. The easy to tell where the name came from. There wasn't really any head to the root beer to speak of.
It is an "okay" root beer, the carbonation is fine, but it lacks a strong root beer flavor. It is a bit lackluster if you ask me, but not terrible, a "Decent" root beer. 6/10 Chef Hats.
Next we have Olde Brooklyn brand Root Beer.
My first impressions were it has a great head on it, and it is a bit lighter in color as the other one. The taste is quite good. Not too sweet, but a nice strong root beer flavor. This is what a root beer should taste like. I very much enjoyed this brand. 8/10 Chef Hats.

Hehe, awesome! I like this. That olde Brooklyn looked like a champ. I did laugh at your fine Scottish accent. It reminded me of a Russian supervillain from a bond movie at times!! And the chef hats, a great touch! :0)
lol thanks!! hahaha, maybe I will try a bit of an accent in each episode, lol. oooh yes, Russian super villains in bond movies! I think I might evolve the segment as well, when I was buying the root beer at the novelty store, they had all kinds of different sodas as well, like Dragon Drool and Pirate's Piss, lol. I might just do standard taste tests with those. haha.
That's quite astonishing they have so many. We have virtually none!
They do sound entertaining though!
