Appics ICO Will Start Soon! Let's Talk!
Hey Steemians,
today a bit different Video type. In this Video, I want to talk about the first SMT(Smart Media Token) based application called Appics. The decentralized Version of Instagram. Yes, Instagram. In the last weeks, I used it more I usually do and what I love the most is that it is so easy to use.
The Appics ICO is soon and I am even not in the Bounty Program. All I am saying in this video is my personal and honest opinion. I would like to hear what you think about Appics.

for me the best part of Appics is its use for outreach. It is much easier to pop open your phone and show people they can earn money for doing what they already do on instagram as opposed to having become a long content blogger to earn.
This will also go a long way to helping the community let go of the need for quality content. Social Media is about sharing everything and not just what the community deems "valuable" .
If we want this to become a true social media platform and ward off the competitors that will pop up, we have to make room for everyone. Appics will lure a lot of people to the platform, especially instagram influencers.

You mention some crucial points.
Indeed Steemits alignment is not for eveyone. Blogging is not for everyone. I really like, but there are so many people feeling not comfortable.
As you said and we see it in the mainstream; Instagram can be used from everyone that's why I think it could be a game changer. Once big Instagram influencers would make the switch it would push the whole app, but also the realm of cryptocurrency and blockchain.
It will be necessary that people understand at least a bit who it works.
I see it promising!
thanks, I do feel strongly about this because of the potential of what we have here. I've been up to Facebook and talked to Mark. It's actually pretty amazing up there lol but I've stopped relying on Facebook now that I've seen the future of social media on blockchain.

If this takes off, what a HUGE and massive win for Steem and the entire community here. If Appics is what their white paper says it will be, wow. So exciting!
Can't wait for next week and later this year when Appics launches!

Interesting concept of course . ICO at a time when facebook seems to getting a lot of heat . Nice timings , now needs to cash on the flaws facebook has . then BINGOO. Execution risk is there always. looking forward to it

Yea, it is. It will take some more time to finish it. Once it's finished, your ERC20 TOKENS will be swapped into the XAP TOKEN.
That is good. It even means that some current ERC20 tokens might apply to change to SMT say by fall this year ie when it is finished..

I'm familiar with @teardrops smart media token and this is the second time i'm hearing about SMT.
