Explaining Steem Tokens: Steem, Steem Power (SP), Steem Backed Dollar (SBD)

Are you confused by all the Steem tokens? Do you want to know why there are 3 tokens for the Steem blockchain instead of just one? Then this video is for you! I explain the purpose of each token and why it is crucial to have all 3 for this blockchain to function properly.

With the #NewSteem kicking off along with the test net / main net for @Dtube launching I thought it was a good idea to help newer steemians understand the differences between tokens because it can be confusing to say the least. I know this has been explained before but with the new on boarding process kicking off making it incredibly easier to get Steemit accounts I thought this was an important topic to go over again with the newbies on the platform and have a more recent video that is easier to find.

One thing I forgot to mention in this video is that Steem Power (SP), which is staked Steem, collects interest because of the inflationary design of the token. So you will earn interest on any staked Steem! That means just Powering it up will increase your holdings over time even if you don't do anything! Pretty awesome right!?!
