Learn how to take and make professional pictures in 2018 with a professional photographer!
What’s up everyone - I hope everyone is doing well!
Sometimes to excel in life we have to do things we don’t like to do. In my case it’s being in front of the video camera - LOL. I know it sounds funny coming from someone that’s job it is to direct people when filming.
For 2018 I’ve decided to start a series of videos showcasing what it takes to make professional pictures. Photography is about making pictures - not taking them. There’s a lot more to it than pointing the camera at something and pressing the shutter button.
The way I approach things is what I call the 5 P’s:
Planning,
The actual Picture taking,
Post processing (Photoshop & Lightroom),
Posting online (social media / website) and,
Printing
It’s going to be a process as I’ll have to find my voice and get comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve been shooting since the summer and I’m still working out the technical kinks. I still haven’t decided on what frame rate to use (leaning toward 60p), which microphones, and which cameras to use in certain situations (as I’m not using a $5,000 camera when I’m alone shooting in the mean streets of New England or Jackson Heights).
I feel like “Survivor Man” Les Stroud filming by myself and it feels weird filming footage in public when people are watching you - but I’ll get over it. I have a lot of testing to do - but I’m almost there!
Anyway - with all that being said here’s a teaser trailer, and be sure to follow me along my journey to stay tuned!

Should link the teaser trailer, Mikey. How great is Lightroom, makes a noob like me look like I know what I'm doing haha.
The first image is actually a link to the video. Steemit.com is still in it's infancy stage. You can't really tell an image is actually a video, so you'll have to click on the image. It's more obvious in busy.org as there is a player on the bottom.
Ah wow, didn't even realize it was a video. Apologies. Great stuff!
