Sometimes you would also find afghani namkeen handi along Peshawari namkin gosht, namkeen roast and Peshawari karahi and so you get some attractive options to make your choice. A traditional dish from Peshawar, Pakistan, this is undoubtedly one of the most popular meat dishes in that region. Having its roots in the Pashtun culture, its characterised by the usage of bare minimum spices and aromatics. Delicately spiced, juicy chunks of meat, cooked in its own juices, this meat dish will take you by surprise! It's a deliciously rustic dish with calculated and complimenting ingredients. Ingredients

Mutton: Half kg
Tomatoes : 2
Garlic: 1 tbls
Ginger: 1 tbls
Salt : to tast
Butter r pure ghee: half cup
green chilies: 5
Black paper : half tea s r as required

Method (Recipe):

  • Add Mutton Pressure Cooker For 20 mints
  • add meat
  • add salt
  • fry till change of colour of meat
  • Cook the meat on slow heat for 30 - 35 Minutes (you can add a little water if reuired)
  • Once meeat is cooked well and water is dried, add garlic and jinger and fry for 30 seconds
  • Now add Tomatos and cover for 10 - 15 minutes on slow heat.
  • Now add black pepper and green chili
  • cover for 2 minutes
  • Enjoy with bread
