I wanted to place this out into the community as it was a tremendously important practice I took on before I headed out on my current stint of extended world travel. Sometimes we just need a simple kick in the right direction to remind us of what we are grateful for and luckily this easy practice allows for just that. When I made my chain before traveling it was 72 links long but it was such a lovely way to physically see a representation of the time before I was departing on my journey. Day by day as I ripped one off at a time I became more and more excited as the chain shrunk to its terminal end. I hope that you yourself create a chain for your next big life event coming up or simply as a way to remind yourself daily of the beauty that is your life. Please let me know in the comments how this has gone for you and maybe even how the practice can become even better with a few tweaks :)

My origonal Gratitude Chain: 72 links in total!

P.S. During the process of creating this short chain I realized that it is 7 links long which wonderfully correlates to the 7 days of the week as well as the 7 chackras that we house in our body. I now have planned for a second video project where I myself will be expressing daily gratitude specifically related to the chakra of that day (red - indigo). So amazing how inspiration spawns from inspiration. Cheers my lovely steemians!!

This is wonderful stuff @maslowmission, I use to do a 12 hours job daily and I have a heck of monotonous routine, this activity looks awesome, a little time for yourself to think about yourself, yourself only!

Glad you were able to take something from the video! Now go out and make yourself a chain :D Let me know if you do it so I can know how it worked out for you. Also you are so right that this is about recognition of yourself. It's good to be selfish on a limited basis. Without taking care of ourselves first we can not serve others to our fullest capacity.

Very nice edit. good job @myndnow on the music. We made the chain when we were young but did not have the tradition of pulling one off everyday as a countdown, that is cool. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks man! Tried to play around with angels a lot more in this one. Makes for a more pleasurable viewing experience I think. Thank you much for the comment :)

THIs is awesome brother!! Creative person you and that is freaking dope!!

Thank you for using my song man and it does fit perfectly :D

Winny out...for now ;)

PS: with that attitude you will come far in life :) my opinion.

So glad that you enjoyed it and the use of your song in it :)

Your comment really warms my heart brother! I appreciate your kind words more than I have the brain capacity to express in this tired state. Big love!

Such a calm soul... Much grace to you brother

Has only come from years of practice :) thank you for the recognition my friend. Amazing hip-hop you are creating. Happy to see people in the game working on keeping the culture true to its roots!

Lovely post you got here @maslowmission, yea you and @yidneth share am amazing passion for reflection although in different but similar ways.

Thank you for your comment. Reflection is the only way we will ever be able to recognize the parts of ourselves that need to change. It is the first step in the process of becoming a better person. Best of luck to you on your journey @dee-y
