Martial Arts practitioner Laura Bonthuis was a former student of Wim Scharrenberg the brother of Koen Scharrenberg both Kyokushin Karate teachers and kickboxers. Later she took up her training in the Chinese martial at Shaolin Kung Fu Apeldoorn He Yong Gan. Laura won many national and international competitions within Shaolin Kung Fu, Pushing Hands, Sanda and other aspects. She became 3rd at the European Championships of the EWUF European Wu Shu Federation in Moscow Russia, this was in April 2019. In June 2019 Laura Bonthuis also achieved the 3rd place at the World Championships from the IWUF International Wu Shu Federation in Emeishan city China.
