The Steem community has announced a hard-fork to a new blockchain, called Hive. This new chain will be a true hard-fork, meaning everyone on Steem will have the same account, keys, and balances (as of the snapshot at launch [10am EST, Friday, March 20th]), except for the Steemit Inc.
