My 2017: Just a normal day - a Thursday in a great company
My 2017 has mostly been surrounded by boring routines. But there is that one exception. I have always loved horses. Some of you might know that already, I have talked about the subject before. But, what I have not done is shown you how my time with Niko is actually spent. So, I took the huge camera, a trusty boyfriend from the dark side (picture below) and my best nervous mood with me, and went on an every Thursday kind of adventure.
I have done this since the beginning of this year and I always have so much fun, I can unwind and see new places. And because I am going on a new and exciting adventure every week, I feel like a female Indiana Jones. This is also the activity that keeps someone like me, a person that spends most of my day at the computer, sane and healthy. At least to some extent.
My days start anywhere from 12 PM to 2 PM and end around 2 AM to 4 AM depending on what I am doing. You can see most of the things I do in the ''morning'' in my video, but my usual Thursday does not end when I get off of the horse. That is actually the time when I start writing and putting my creativity out on the keyboard. I usually have dinner when I come back home and after that I make a steemit post. Lately, I have been making videos on Thursdays, so instead of writing, I start cutting the video material I have filmed. It takes a while, but I get it done and I learn a new thing with every video. There is also that challenge to get a free Adobe trial every time it runs out, but thankfully, we have 3 computers.
I also had a late night trip to a Burger King yesterday. I was craving something unhealthy but delicious (this happens around once every two months) and I and my boyfriend went out once again. It was 1 AM, but we had a long night in front of us. For me, there was a whaleshares ''promote your post'' session from 2 AM to 5 AM, and for my boyfriend it was Bitcoin. Do I need to say more? :D
So my day was actually a little different than usual, which is refreshing. I did not get to write the post yesterday as the video took me extra long to make, but I am rectifying the situation by putting it on the blockchain today. My whole year feels filled with events that have not always been the best ones, but my every-day routine does not reflect much of that, which I am glad about as I feel like the end of the year is when we can look back and realize that it was not that bad after all. And, after all, it can always get worse, but it can also be better and how we look at the world dictates how our future is going to be. It is all in us and that is the most empowering thing ever.
I am the unconventional kind of person that has a weird schedule, but mostly I am happy about it. I do think I am spending a little too much time indoors, but I have a hope in me that it will change in the new year. Our new beginnings should start with a new apartment and our own car that, hopefully, will bring us on a lot of road-trips to new places.

Yeah, I was lucky to get a great deal. Usually horse-riding lessons are around 20 euro but as I had some knowledge of how to take care of horses before and I am looking after the big guy, I pay the same amount for the whole month, which is great and lets me actually do that.
Woooah, that's an amazing deal! Sign me up haha. Around here, a single lesson can go for $60 USD and boarding's around $800 a month... not exactly feasible. And they look like lovely horses to care for.
Wow! Most places where I have gone horse-back riding have had the same prices (Latvia and Germany) I was a little surprised that if you ride on your own it is cheaper but I also found out that others charge the same(around 20 eur per month) if you take care of their horse. Horses need exercise every day and their hooves should be cleaned every day as well(to prevent small stones from being stuck in there), but most owners have no time to do this every day so they are looking for someone who can do it. They also want someone who has a good relationship with the horse, there has to be trust. So you are actually doing the owner a service in a way, but you are also using their resources(horse :D). That is why there is such a symbolic price for it here.
I clearly need to move there! That's a really good relationship to have with the owners. The prices weren't so crazy where I grew up, but where I am now most people work for tech companies and real estate prices are outrageous, so "luxury" stables capitalize on that.
I like the label ''luxury'' when what really matters is not how luxurious the stable is but how the horses are treated. If they are asking for higher payment, I sure hope they are treating those horses with apples every day and a specialist is riding each and every horse, again, every day. Or at least making them stretch their legs. I have seen some expensive stables that do not take care of their horses good, especially the big ones that do not have enough workers but enough space to rake in some of them dollars.

No idea, actually. I am not good with dog breeds, we always had mixed pups when I was little. :D

Yes! That they are. I love how strong but gentle they are and each one has their own character. I always have a blast when I go horse-riding and it relieves me of any tension that has built up in my during the week.
