Taking walks is great! I work at home and sometimes forget about life outside of the screen so I try to walk outside for 30 min each day.
I also try to meditate daily for 20 min and workout for 45 min 4 days a week.
Clearing your mind with these activities actually is productive for your creative pursuits because your unconscious mind starts to work on these problems and ideas. Software engineers may be familiar with "hammock-dtiven development"
