Why Does Taiwan Look So RUN DOWN?

Chinese people from Mainland China may look at Taiwan and think that the buildings are old and falling apart. Back in Mainland China, many of the tier 1 and 2 cities have undergone a massive modernization which means that a lot of these cities look fairly new and modern. Taiwan on the other hand, looks a bit more outdated by comparison even though Taiwan is a developed region with very little poverty.

In this video, I will explain why I think Taiwan looks more "run down" compared to Mainland China and how that is possibly a good thing.
