DTube Exclusive Video #84: America, An Underdog Story.

in #dtube6 years ago (edited)

The pilgrims were pretty freakin dope. I mean these dudes and ladies ventured over across the Atlantic to start new settlements in a brand new world. Truly, for them it was brand new. And they had no idea what to expect. But they said, "Yo let's do this". True story. That's a direct quote.

Seriously, and they went from this little group at Plymouth Rock to an incredible group of colonies, which then came together to stand up for and fight for what they believed would be a great democracy, and drew up a Declaration of Independence to pursue their dreams for a new nation. They were against heavy odds with the British Empire, but the Revolutionary War was a success. And from this fledgling of a nation with a big, unknown frontier awaiting discovery, we have grown to the country that we are today. The country which connects so many others in our world, share so many unique cultures, is an economic and military power, and actively contributes the dream for a better and brighter tomorrow. It truly is an underdog story, which has gone from the planting of its first roots in new soil to the home of opportunity and wonder that people seek to be a part of.

I'm so proud to be an American, and so proud of the journey this nation has taken to become what it is today. It truly is the story of an underdog...that earned it's way to the top.

You are so right brother! <3

We do have an amazing history. Our Founding Fathers put themselves on the line for what they believed in. Had their efforts failed they would have been executed as traitors.

Yup yup, couldn't be prouder of our nation and our history, always was my favorite subject in school, and always was inspired by those who shaped our nation at its inception.

Ameeican history is my favorite too! I love living in Boston in part because of its rich history. My son shares his birthday with Ben Franklin. He graduated from t he same school Ben attended, Boston Latin School. He and I go to the Reenactment of the Battle of Lexington almost every year.

Absolutely, I don't know if your son every watched this show growing up, but there was a show called Liberty Kids that I never missed an episode of. That was like 10 years ago, but it was like an animated series about everything that went on during the American Revolution. Really cool stuff. And that's incredible, he's walking in the right footsteps!

I remember that show. Wewatched a couple of exposides occassional. He is a history lover, too.
