Watch Drunken, Vomit Covered On-Duty Cop Get Special Treatment as He Humiliates Fellow Cop

in #dtube7 years ago (edited)

Trenton, NJ – Michael Roadside, a 51-year-old police officer was suspended without pay after he crashed into a woman’s car while he was drunk, and offered to bribe her so she wouldn’t report the accident. The dash camera footage from the incident was released, showing an obviously drunk Roadside and the confused cop who was called to the scene.

In the video, Roadside immediately gets out of his vehicle when the other officer approaches him, and he shouts in a slurred voice “I’m not drunk!” He tells the officer that he has recently had surgery and that the anesthesia must still be affecting him.

The special treatment this officer receives from the get go is appalling. The average citizen who is covered in vomit, rear ends another car at a stop sign, gets out slurring, and declares not to be drunk would have immediately been subject to a barrage of interrogation, intimidation, violent escalation, or worse. Instead, Roadside gets, “Okay no problem, I’ll have you on the way as soon as possible.”

The officer walks up to the woman that was rear-ended, and she tells him that she was scared by Roadside’s behavior and that he offered to bribe her. She also told the officer that he had dropped a beer cap, which she had collected for evidence and showed him.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about the dashcam video is what happens when the other officer on the scene arrives and goes back to his car to make the call. When he finally gets through to a supervisor, you can hear the humiliation and awkwardness in his voice as he attempts to explain the situation. The officer had explained pretty clearly that Roadside was drunk, and that his shirt was covered with “vomit or saliva or something.”

One part of the audio is actually edited, and oddly, it was during a part in the conversation where the officer had told his supervisor that the woman who had been hit called one of her family members who were police officers.

“She has already made calls,” the officer told his supervisor.

It is not clear what the supervisor was saying on the other end, but it is suspicious that this part of the conversation was left out. Could the officer and his supervisor have been deciding if the incident could be covered up?
