This is my thoughts about the games on the SNES classic, it's an older video, but here is a video from early 2017 that is worth revisiting if you are interested in old SNES games, or classic retro consoles.
Talking about the SNES classic shortly after it was first announced, and I love the Super Nintendo, but I dare to be controversial, because a lot of people don't dare defy the nostalgia surrounding this system...
But while I look forward to playing each game on this NEW classic console, other than the nostalgia factor I find the games to be a equal mix or 3 categories: (1) Awesome (2) Average (3) playable but not special other than nostalgic factor.
The Super Nintendo is one of my top 5 all time favorite Video Game Consoles, along side the Sega Genesis, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo Game Cube, and Sega Dreamcast.
The Games that interest me the most on this console are Mega Man X, Super Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island, Kirby's Super Star, and Earth Bound... and I already have all of those except Earth Bound and the Kirby game, but I do have the Nintendo DS version of the Kirby game.
Plus I have many of the other games on this console, but not all...
Still even after everything I said, I look forward to playing every game on this console, there is a lot of nostalgia for me in this one.
