Hurricane Michael is on it's way

Us in Florida are bracing for what looks to be another major hurricane. We are seasoned veterans of these sorts of storms, but it still is not something we hope for, even if we are prepared to do battle with these natural phenomenons.

As of now, the national weather service has stated they believe that the hurricane will head toward the Florida Gulf Coast, most likely making landfall near Pensacola, but the trajectory could shift at any point.

We heard similar forecasts around this time last year when Hurricane Irma was making its track across the Atlantic Ocean. Forecasts had it hitting directly in Miami, then Fort Myers, then Sarasota, then Lakeland...you catch the drift.

This video is from last year when Irma hit us, just to give you an idea of the sheer power of these storms. This was still when the Hurricane was more than 100 miles away from us. We were still getting 60 mph gusts and heavy rain. Even if we do not get a direct hit here in the middle of the state, we still expect to get minimum Tropical Storm force winds: nothing to be trifled with.
