Vlog 079 - Getting Back To Minimalism

Looking back on the past year or so I can honestly say that I was happiest when I had very few things. My days as an extreme minimalist were good. Everything I owned fit into my backpack and I had a sense of freedom that I never felt before.

(Before we go any further I have to say that my days with Jennifer were the absolute best. They belong to a special category all their own)

And right now I am going to do my best to get back to those minimalist days. I want to get back to the point where everything I own fits into my backpack.

First off, I have to get rid of a few things. While I still don’t own a lot it will not all fit in my pack. I will be getting rid of some books and a few items of clothing. It’s a start.

I will also be focusing on fewer projects. I was getting overwhelmed by trying to complete so many things in my desperate attempt to provide for Jennifer and myself. All that did was give me more anxiety and put undue strain on our relationship. I need to focus on 2 or 3 projects at most, going forward.

Finally, I will be focusing more on my sobriety. I had started to stray from the program and that could have led me to go out and drink. Being sober is a must for me if I ever want to have the life that I deserve.

Hopefully, you will see the transformation over the next few months. I am truly grateful to have another opportunity to set things right in my life.
