Once they were able to operate in the quantum world, it was only a matter of time until the experiments were scaled up to larger objects. I'm sure they will soon move on to human trials. If they haven't already.
Well it still involves cooling objects down to near absolute zero. That can't really be done on Earth yet unless it's in a lab. Plus, that'd kill anything alive (or just suspend it).
