I never viewed it as charity. I view it as investing in your investments. The money you give goes to increasing the value of the Steem you hodl. I think donations are 100% needed and we as a community should work towards making it as seamless to donate to a worker fund as possible, regardless of the route we take for the SPS. I could be ignorant, but I believe that if we made donating cool (badges, leaderboards etc.) and easy to do (donate x amount right there on the upvote slider), it could work.
Yeah, agree. TIPU is like partial solution.
