We All Have 168 Hours/How Do You Manage Your Time?

in #dtube6 years ago (edited)

The concept that really blows my mind is:

We all have 168 hours a week. No matter how rich or poor.. we have the same time given to us. I think the true power lies in managing those hours wisely.

Why does 168 matter so much?

You would be surprised by how easily we throw away our time. 20 minutes on facebook. 20 minutes reading an article, 20 minutes texting someone..

These small time sucking actions stops us from actually inching closer to our goals.

It's about mindfulness and self-awareness :)

The best way to get more time back in your day... slowly bring awareness to your actions. And take note on how long you're spending time on that particular task.

Final Thoughts:

I hope you all are enjoying my Facebook videos.

Enjoy!

Grateful

It is probably a typo, but I think you mean 168 hours per week, not per day.

Done! Thank you :)

Of course! thanks for the great read :)

Here’s to using the 168 well! Cheers, my friend :)

Totally true! :)

Glad you agree :)

very good. keep exploring new ideas!!!!!

thank you so much! I have bunch of them ;)

You are one of the First that i have Watched on d.tube !!

It is a cool nice video... but ain't nobody got time for that! Sleeping 8 hours per day??? No way... that is way too much! LOL And You forgot to add the hours EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING spend drinking alcohol! LOLOLOL

Just messing with You. It is a very interesting point of view.

I hope you ate all the M & M's! Great to see you are utilizing the facebook to it's fullest

Very constructively presented!
Great job!
Awesome tips!

Great to hear your thoughts on this matter. Think there is more to be said about the rich having more time than what you gave attention to. Not everyone starts at the bottom; regardless, your thesis still stands. Fuck excuses. We all have the same amount of hours in the week and if we think about it, I'm sure we will find an example of time poorly spent.

I've been thinking about the concept of time a lot recently as well. I listened to a podcast the other day that suggests our conception of time might be misplaced.

If I am 10yrs old with cancer and only one year left to live vs. a 70 yr old with 20 yrs left to live, who has more time?

This example is clearly set up to incite a specific response. But I think the point is, given the uncertainty of the temporal expectancy of our lives, what is really more important, how much time we have left, or making sure that whatever you are doing with that time is something you won't regret, regardless of if you die tomorrow.

curious to hear your thoughts; hoping you the best 168 this week ;)
