Borderlands: The Pre-sequel - RK5: Raum-Kampfjet Mark V Boss Fight

Damn, is it just me or are the boss fights in this game stupid tough?

Borderlands has always been one of those games with a very 'berserker' kind of feel to it. In a lot of games in the RPG genre, you'll get to a point where the game is relatively comfortable to play as you level out your character and upgrade your gear. Borderlands always seems to have me feeling like I'm under-powered for the fights that I'm in (although this time I actually was).

My brother actually started playing this game a few days ago, and came to me earlier today saying he needed some help with a boss. I wasn't surprised as some of the bosses in this game are INSANELY difficult if we're speaking relatively. Deadlift, the second boss in the game (I think), doesn't sound too bad on paper, but granted you're no higher than level 10 or so and have completely underwhelming gear. My first playthrough, I had to give Deadlift a solid 5-6 tries before I found a handy little nook under some scenery that I shot out from like a coward (eventually it worked).

RK5 isn't the most difficult boss in the game, but thinking back to my first playthrough, the fight stayed with me. It's not the boss itself that makes things difficult; it's the adds. Amidst you trying to stack damage on the boss, there is a sub-battle of Eridians and Lost Legion Marines taking place that you have to navigate among all else.

Playing this boss with two people took us about half an hour. We first tried hanging out on the top platform, which eventually failed when we got nuked by the ship. The second attempt we stayed on the ground level, which was honestly way more fun anyways. I can't imagine how long this took for a solo play (not going to lie, I probably hid in the elevator the whole time).

I was playing a level 20 Athena that I started, accompanied by a level 23 Claptrap.

I certainly don't blame you for not sitting through the whole video :D but I think that just goes to show what a royal pain in the ass this fight is! All things considered though, you gotta give it to Borderlands for creating pretty challenging scenarios in a world of gaming that has felt pretty casual as of late.

YYYEEEEESSSS!!!! I usually play any one of the three borderlands with my husband, but started a pre-sequel game by myself... bad move. I got stuck on the freaking robots (with a boss bot) and haven't gotten past it yet. I haven't been able to play it in a while either but it gets frustrating!!!

Right?! Revisiting it, I can't believe how tough this game is sometimes. Solo plays are a nightmare XD. Regardless, still one of my favorite franchises of all time!

Oh yeah definitely!!! These games are the shiznit and I can't wait for a new one to come out!!!

Oh my, don't even get me started on the potentiality of BL 3 XD. I can't wait!
