Tanguar Haor- The Largest Haor of Bangladesh

Hello Friends,

In this video I am just sharing with you the Largest Haor of Bangladesh namely Tanguar Haor. I captured this video while traveling in this area on 16 September 2019.

Tanguar Haor is located just northeast of Bangladesh, with 9,727 hectares of land in Sumanganj district. It is the largest haur in Bangladesh. However, due to the increase of water during the rainy season, the amount stands at 20,000 acres.

This magnificent landscaped area is located at the foot of Meghalaya, India. Thousands of tourists come here every year to enjoy the wonderful natural beauty. About 30 springs of water from the Meghalaya Mountains in India come to the haor and accumulate. Besides, it is well-known as a large sanctuary of various fish, birds and other aquatic animals.
