Should We Treat Content With Paid Upvotes Like Ads?

It does seem like advertising, and sadly, there is currently no easy way of identifying them. Come to think of it, it will be nice to see those trending posts that got the upvotes organically.
Exactly. Sure, those paid for votes generate exposure which leads to organic upvotes, but its a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
