One regret I have in how I raised my dogs was that I didn't socialize them enough with other dogs.
When we meet other dogs on the street, my dogs bark at them. Once I let them off leash, they play well. But, the barking while walking is a pain in the butt.
Sky doesn't bark but she got barked at by other smaller dogs a lot, mainly because of her size and how playful she is.
It is always difficult to let your dog socialised with other dogs on the street as there are too many distractions plus the dog feels vulnerable on the leash. So I do understand your pain.
By the way, what breeds are your dogs if you don't mind me asking :)

I have 2 German shepherds and a Shi-Tzu.
Awwwwwwe, they are adorable!!!! German Shepherds are quite similar to Sky, they need a lot of exercise and they are super intelligent!
If you don't already have @actifit, I highly recommend it now that you have Sky.
On a normal day, I get 10,000 steps primarily because of walking the pups. The dogs definitely get me out and about!
