My Presentation At Steem-Abuja; How To Be Relevant And Build Relationships on steemit

in #dtube8 years ago (edited)

Starting a relationship is a very good way to grow on steemit. I mean a healthy relationship. Steemit is a community of real humans relating with one another, in order words, for everything you do on the platform with another user, you should know that you are doing it to a human.

The simple way to start a conversation on steemit is a simple "Hi" or "Hello". Growth on steemit is dependent on the relationship. Having a good relationship with your immediate community is essential to enable proper growth in the community.

SPAMMING IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO INTERACT WITH ONE ANOTHER.

First impression matters, this is not a news. There are a lot of people who find pleasure bugging others with spams and irrelevant chats and comments. Spamming is not the right way to start a conversation or a conversation with another steemian.

Follow those you like their blogs and not for Follow-for-follow.

The issue of follow-for-follow has become the hubby of newbies in the platform. They expect to get lots of followers by asking for a follow back. Like I said in the meetup "Follow the bogs of those you like their blog"

The event was wonderful with a whole lot of beautiful steemians I had the opportunity to meet.

Stay tuned because I will be bringing steemit to your door step.

Hello @gbenga

You have said it all here. Spamming is actually the worst way to relate here but people, more especially the newbies, who think Steemit is a place where one can just come and take hold of some free money, wouldn't listen. And that's the issue.

I am glad you did justice to this in this video.

@eurogee, the founder of @euronation community & The Host, Show Us Your Witnesses Weekly Contest

You were being straight at the Abuja-Steem meetup and said the reality. Just like @fistegonas @ejemai @ehiboss and you put, you need to make friends in the network and have a content/niche. If hard word speak for you. Definitely you will read such post. Good speech on saturday

First of all, I must commend your outstanding input to steemit in general and steemit in Nigeria.

Relationship in steemit is paramount and genuine relationships are built on sincerity and trust.

Thanks for lecture @gbenga.

Hello @gbenga

You are really a motivator. Truth be told, steemit is a place where lasting relationship can be establish but it required an effort. The best way to do that is through interaction. But it break heart when some will just spam your post because they are too lazy to read the post and get the full gist of what it is all about.

Steemit is really the best place to be and also the best place to create relationships and learn also.
Thanks for sharing this.

@gbenga boss

It's the same thing you've said here that I have been reiterating for everyone to hear. Don't spam, build a relationship instead. Everyday I keep getting spam messages begging for upvotes. It's a pity people never learn.

I hope we change our way of communicating to one another.

What are irrelevant chats? I'm a newbie that has not much to offer you, so it's going to be a one sided relationship(you helping me with upvote while my upvote are nothing to you). Advice me on how you made, while your same whale is chatting with you on how to move forward. Definitely no matter how relevent your advice will be for the newbie you(whales) dont have such time to chat with such person rather you continue with their whale friends.I sincerely, dont blame you guys(whales), because I know you guys are very busy and time matters alot to you guys(whales). So my question, how can we(newbie) get the attention of a whale without man know man way?. Because I try to produce good posts but I'm still not recognised. I love your post by the way, No!! to follow for follow. With this post I will definitely be attending Ibadan meet-up. Please answer my question @gbenga or any whale seeing this.

With time....
I'll advice you join community too and be active there, it also helps

Which community will you suggest to me @vheobong

Good stuff @gbenga thanks for sharing .

nice post there

@euronation speaks highly of you, do not forget us bro

Well said @gbenga. I think the idea that leads to vote beg is enshrined in just making some coin. Until that mindset is corrected, nothing better will come up.
