The Down Under Build: step 1
This is an exciting series that I am going to call the Down Under Build. I am not sure how many videos I may be able to squeeze out of the build, but I would like to share it step by step.
I am doing a custom build for a new friend that lives in Australia! @galenkp !That's right, I will be shipping my tools internationally. This is a huge step for me as a creator. My work has been noticed, and someone is willing to ship it around the world.
Today is the jumping off point for the piece. I am laying out the lines and then profiling the blade. There is alot of grinding involved, and alot of thinking. During this step, the blade is still sorting out what it wants to be.
I am going with a 7 to 8 inch drop point. I am going to couple it with maple scales, and I think some stainless steel pins. I am looking forward to what this build is going to teach me. Each blade has something new for me to learn.

I've already prepared a place of honour amongst my existing knives and blades where my freedompoint blade will reside when not ony hip. I'm looking forward to seeing it and the process of making it along the way! Many people will see it down here and I'll proudly promote where it came from. It will become a treasured item. Thanks for doing this.
Oh man!! I am also really excited about the build. I am trying to take pictures and make videos as much as I can. Sometimes I get carried away with the process and just start going. I appreciate your excitement and willingness to share it!
Mate...When I saw the start of that video you had me cracking up...The coffee slurp...Red leather yellow leather...You're a funny bugger...But then you started flying into the build...Studying that metal, crafting it in your mind then on the machinery... It's going to be a special blade...I wrote a post which will go live tomorrow afternoon.

I will be following along, and may be a future customer for @freedompoint. I will post a photo sometime this weekend of a blade that my Lil' Sister gave Me B4 losing Her battle with cancer. It will be a tribute to Her life and I will work out the details in my head and get with Freedompoint in the following weeks/ months on the Discord when I see how/what Yours @galenkp turns out to be.

Hey mate, it would be a nice memory of your sister, something special. @freedompoint seems to know what he's about and is happy to discuss the options etc. Time will tell how my knife comes out however I'm optimistic that it will be awesome and part of that awesomeness will be that I had some input on it and that it is custom.
