Today I am taking you with me out to feed the cows. Everyday I go out and feed the cows, rain or shine. I think it is important that they have what they need
Sometimes it is hard to remember that the animals completely rely on us for food. If it is your kids they are right under your feed. But the animals are outside.
There is a aspect that most don't think about...the weather keeps changing. So we are all cozy inside the warm house, but dang it is cold outside haha. So there is a mental aspect to getting ready and going.
I also share a bit about my favorite knife that I use everyday just about. I hope you are all enjoying this daily vlog!!

I'm grateful for our animals here, they force me to stay active, no matter how sore or stiff I am. :D I'm lucky that we have the dogs too, if it wasn't for them I'd be a lot more sedentary. :D
We give the herd oats as incentive to cooperate and it works almost always. :D

I do love the animals here. There is still alot to learn. Stacie D and I are really forest people haha. So animals on pasture is new
Animals are the best, they are always honest and never hide how they're feeling, no guesswork required. :D Being on a homestead allows us the best of both worlds, animals and forest. :D Before we moved here we hadn't had anything to do with animals, other than dogs, this was all new to us and 13 years later we're still learning new things each day. :D
