We must Return: Building the Moon Base.

in #dtube5 years ago (edited)

It's been 50 years since mankind first went to the Moon. Now, we are preparing to return once again, not for a short stay but to permanently settle the moon.

This effort will require NASA and commercial companies, working together to finally build a base on the Moon and leap onwards to Mars and beyond.

But what could a such a mission look like?

What sort of execting tech could be used to build our first Lunar Base there?

This animation aims to demonstrate the various technologies that could be used for returning mankind to the Moon.

This animation contains footage made by the following British based animation universities, Falmouth University, Edinburgh College of Art and Glasgow Caledonian University,

A special thanks to every student and advisor who helped out with this project.

This animation shows an overview of what a base build inside of Shackleton Crater could look like. The concepts shown in this animation were meant to be a representation of the following concepts:

I'm just trying to get used to the new @dtube thingie. So apologies in advance for any reuploads or if I end up breaking the internet :P

As this is a science-related post you should use steemstem.io a community that rewards science content

Cheers @ideas-abstractas
I'll give it a go later on today or tomorrow. However, I am not that great with social media so I may need a help :P
