The wrong address? Bwaha! Had that happen before, but shouldn't it be in the company who carried the stuff to assure it gets to the right place?

I’m an ideal world it’s the shipping companies problem to solve it - but this was a unique mess up of biblical proportions- because they delivered the wrong roaster to a company where the person who ordered it is away - so the staff just expected a roaster and when it arrived immediately unpacked it, destroyed the pallet it was on to get it off it - and after all that proudly sent photos to the travelling boss - who pointed out it was the wrong colour and too small. But with the pallet base the roaster was sat on to build the crate around it destroyed - there was no way to crate the roaster and so no way to move it with a shipping agent without it being damaged - they are tall and narrow with most weight high up. So then it became my problem - man with a rented Luton van with tail lift and spare pallet - managed to put the roaster on the van, pallet on the tail lift and level it with the van floor - then slide the roaster onto the pallet using a pallet truck - the only way with a 500kg bit of equipment and no fork lift. !COFFEEA
