They say pitching wins in the playoffs. Outside of the Astros, perhaps there is no team with better starting pitching than the Washington Nationals.

It is stepping up in the series against the Cardinals. Stephen Strasburg was the next one to take the hill against the Cardinals in the best of seven series. He was spectacular, striking out 12.

Howie Kendrik helped the offense with 3 runs driven in.

This puts the Nationals up 3-0 and within a game of the World Series.

It is an incredible run for a team that won't die. They had to come back against Josh Hader of the Brewers in the Wild Card game and then battle back against Kershaw and the Dodgers.

This team does feel like one of destiny.
