Ateneo De Manila Bullying Incident

In December 2018, a video showing a bullying incident in Ateneo de Manila University brought attention to the public. The University, Department of Education and the Philippine Taekwondo Association condemed this act.
The viral clip captured how a student-- who appeared to be heckled-- was asked to choose between kissing the shoes of his schoolmate or getting beaten up. When the student refused to comply, the other student then proceeded to kick and beat him up.
The Facebook page “Z Blog” revealed the identity of the Ateneo kid bully who has been also known for bullying and picking everyone in school.
The social media page revealed that the kid bully was JOAQUIN MONTES, a black belter of Taekwondo receiving multiple complaints from various parents for the past 3 years.
Joaquin’s brother is also a Taekwondo black belter but was kicked out of San Beda over involvement in bullying.
