RE: Some Irony On The Blockchain
sorry for not commenting yesterday after PYPT - my chrome decided to play some trickery on me. grrrrr
but yes - ironic? hmmm not sure. just the nature of life really
I think that combining communities into one (or ideas into one place) is a great idea on paper.... but when people come together - there is always a clash of ideals, plans, executions...etc.
It's just the nature of people wanting to direct where and how things go. Not just that - but where the benefit goes also... who is in charge - who makes the money - who sets the tone - why this vs that.
for the consumer (or member) it makes sense to have one place out of convenience - so that everyone can just head there - build community and not be fractured into dividing loyalties.
but - for the community leaders? that usually means giving up a significant amount of autonomy. a lot of compromises need to be made - and they don't necessarily know how to divide the profits anymore either.
i think mostly for that reason - people just say - cool! you do you - i'll do me - and if we can collaborate in the future - awesome. if not - then hope our separate projects survive and thrive.
That's just my thoughts on it (and what Ive observed!)
