One key component of effective discipleship is that we must KNOW what we believe.

We must know WHY we believe it.

We must know WHERE it can be proved in the Scriptures.

We must know HOW to defend it, and we must be able to do all of that with proper reverence toward YHWH Almighty, AND with proper respect toward our fellow human beings, (1 Peter 3:15).

It's a tall order, but it's part of what's truly REQUIRED as part of being a successful disciple. What follows is the gospel in simple terms, with the corresponding Scriptures attached, and a brief testimony as to WHY I believe the gospel for myself.
