I get you, I am kinda worried about the next tax year because of my "income" on steemit. but hundreds of transactions? What are you making hundreds of transactions for in the crypto world? If it's buying goods, sales tax and capital gains is applicable, if it is trading assets, you owe gains on the profits. If we are talking trading SBD for STEEM, that is kinda like trading rewards points for a dollar at gamestop, as long as the final sale is taxed there shouldn't be any issue. (I'm not a CPA, nor versed in tax law, but it shouldn't be hard to argue in a legal case.
Even then, if we get to taxing every transaction, what are they going to do, force decentralized autonomous organizations to include a sales tax? And what about when everyone tells them to chug it out their ass? You have to pay taxes at your fiat off ramp, so what changed?
I’m right there with you, after my last couple livestreams , i’m Trying to figure out if trading sbd for steem is a taxable event, and then if taking steem and making it steem power would be too. In the second scenario, I would just block trades my sbd directly to power then pay the “gains” (or credit the losses) as according.
Maybe while we have these “less taxes on the little guy” republicans in house maybe they will address it, but I’m not going to stop eating until they do, because I expect nothing out of them.
They had a chance with this last tax bill to address crypto but decided not to, maybe after adoption hits critical mass will we start collectively thinking about it 🤔 💭 .

Politically, the Republicans have claimed 'the moral highground' for decades but it's more that they have just been hiding behind a cloak of moral high ground. But with this disaster of a president(and the people in his administration and many many in congress, oh, and the attorney general!), all the hypocrisy is being laid bare at a ridiculously high rate.
It's a tough question, individuals can have high standing morals and be upstanding individuals, but in politics it creates a wedge. It pits people as good vs bad, and that doesn't seem to me to solve anything. Politicians should do what is right, based on facts.
I think I agree with you @davidpakman. I think that the "Moral High Ground" only matters in the voter's mind. If you perceive that someone has the moral high ground, that's all that matters. Politicians do not have to actually occupy that moral high ground, so long as they purport to occupy that moral high ground. As you said, you can coerce your mistress into getting an abortion, but still say you'd pass legislation to make abortions harder to obtain. The voters only latch onto the latter in most cases. It's a sad state of affairs.
Also, one's reaction to sex scandals in the political realm always seems to relate back to that person's proximity to power. Are you a Democrat when Bill Clinton schtupped an intern? Then it's not impeachable. Are you a Republican in the age of Roy Moore? Oh, well, then Roy Moore is ok. It all depends on who is in power. That's the main variable.
I think your co-host is making a pretty good point there. In Germany we usually don't dig too deep into the personal lives of our candidates, because it does matter what they do as a public person not as a private one.
